Random Thoughts On Life

June 30, 2008

So I am officially protesting driving, and in doing so I will ride my bike everywhere, like I have been for the last week, and only drive my car if I need to. Gas is outrageous, and I don't want to support big oil any more than I have too. Besides, I don't want to get lazy and obese from never moving my body, and cycling is a great workout, plus, I get to see a whole lot more of this beautiful world! I went to the Salt Lake Arts festival this weekend and had a great time! There are some very talented artists in the valley, as well as some great musicians!

Of course, I have new updates on my robot, but I am posting the images in the 3d gallery section of my site, as having a bunch of images on my index page kindof takes up a bunch of space. Not only that, but I've also updated and added some more images to the gallery, so go check them out! I have the entire body of my robot modeled, and am currently working on modeling a bunch of small, unnecessary, but oh so necessary details, like electric circuitry on the side of his head, and I have thrown a few leds in there that will be able to lightup and whatnot. I'm having a lot of fun with these details! I should have the modeling finished by the end of the week, and you know what that means? It means it's time to bring him into blender, add texture, and rig him up so I can animate him being his stealthy ninja self. Speaking of robots, I watched Wall-E today, and it was absolutely incredible! One of the best films I've ever watched, and the thing that stood out the most was the brilliant animation, that really brought these simple, non-speaking robots to life, with so much emotion!

I have done some more work on the site, and created some really awesome tutorials for my tutorials section, check them out! I spent the last few days hiking and having a blast in capitol reef. It was a much needed vacation and I got some great exercise out of it. I'm back to working on my robot, and have some new updates of the torso.
